Paul Pirela

Paúl Pirela is a Venezuelan-American attorney whose practice primarily focuses on immigration law. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston Law Center and his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Theology from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX. He is licensed by the Supreme Court of Texas and his trial experience includes litigating cases in immigration court, before the Board of Immigration Appeals, and Petitions for Review to the 5th Circuit. He was published in the Fall 2021 edition of the AILA Law Journal entitled “Deferring the Dream; An Analysis of DACA-Related Litigation and Legislation." In law school, Paul was a Student Attorney at the UHLC's Immigration Clinic and a member of the Advocates Board of Directors. Paul is also fluent in English, Spanish, and German (ÖSD Niveau B2).
