About Seminar
This seminar aims to help the Hispanic community understand current immigration law to the United States. Our The Woodlands Immigration attorney Luis F. Hess will talk about the following things:
- Basic concepts about immigration to the United States
- Immigration by family ties
- Temporary Protected Status (TPS) process for Venezuelans
- Work permits and immigration for employment
- Permanence process (Green Cards)
- Types of asylum in the United States.
There will be coffee at the beginning of the event and then a general session will begin with all attendees ending with a round of questions. After the talk, you will have the opportunity to speak briefly with a representative of the Luis Hess Law Firm The Woodlands Texas immigration law firm to present your case.
Come to this talk next Tuesday, June 8 at 7:00 pm. The talk will be in Spanish, completely free. It will last one hour after which you can
ask questions to attorney Luis Hess and his representatives. We will wait for you!
Lecturer
Luis F. Hess is the son of immigrants and one of the first in his family to be born in the United States. He is passionate about traveling abroad, he has lived in Madrid, Spain, Guadalajara, Mexico, Beijing, China, and Berlin, Germany. He is fluent in Spanish and has knowledge of Mandarin Chinese.
After receiving his doctorate from Saint Louis University, he was authorized to practice law in the State of Texas and in the United States District Court, Southern District of Texas. Before starting his own law firm at The Woodlands, he worked for a now-retired magistrate from the Southern District of Texas, was an attorney for the Sisters of Mercy Healthcare System, practiced with the United States Air Force JAG Corps, and was a professor at the University of Saint Louis.
Active in the legal community, Luis F. Hess is a fellow of the Barra de Texas Foundation and serves on the board of directors of The Woodlands Bar Association. He founded Luis F. Hess, PLLC thanks to his passion for immigration law and to help his clients obtain legal immigration status.
